Originally from Houston, Texas, Brian’s earliest real estate roots began with his father, Michael who is a licensed appraiser and long time real estate investor. As a child, Brian would have no choice but listen to his father discuss real estate dealings while in route to many sporting events together.
Brian moved to Austin in August 2000 to attend the University of Texas. During the summer of 2001, Brian took the required real estate courses to obtain his Texas Real Estate License with his mother, Faye. After passing the state licensing exam on the 1st attempt, Brian approached a few campus area offices about beginning immediately. Finally, Brian began his real estate adventure in late September 2001 with University Realty.
During his first year with University Realty, he excelled primarily as a leasing agent serving friends from class, his fraternity, Pi Lambda Phi, and many walk-ins and referrals. He attributes much success to many personal marketing campaigns consisting of attending greek chapter meetings, posting flyers in dorms and on cars. By Brian’s 2nd year, he became well known as one of the hardest workers and elite leasing agents in the campus market. Brian successfully completed his first sale transaction in July 2003 with the purchase of his first personal investment property. From that point on, Brian felt confident to expand his campus area expertise while helping many investors acquire Central Austin investment property.
As an expert in the greater Austin real estate market, Brian founded Copland Realty after receiving his Texas Real Estate Brokers License and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies in 2004. After a successful year, Brian and Michael Said founded Premier Realty in May 2005.
Brian’s business has grown to focus on working with Buyers and Sellers in the general Austin market. He has a vast knowledge of many Austin neighborhoods such as Tarrytown, Clarksville, South Austin, Downtown, Westlake, Travis Heights, Hyde Park, Allandale, Bee Caves, Lake Austin, and Lake Travis. Brian has become one of Austin’s most successful Brokers. He stays continually educated with current real estate knowledge while having taken over 500 hours of real estate classes. Brian is also currently a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) candidate.
Brian enjoys spending time away from the office with his girlfriend, Brittany, and their two dogs, Ginger and Jilly. He takes weekend trips to visit his parents and friends in Houston, TX and occasional trips to Minneapolis to visit his twin nephews.[/box]

Michael Said

Originally from Dallas, Michael Said moved to Austin in 1994 and graduated in 1998 from The University of Texas with a degree in Economics and a minor in Business. He obtained his real estate license in 1996 during his sophomore year at UT Austin. Michael began working at Apartment Finders Service leasing houses, apartments, and condos primarily to college students and friends. After graduating in 1998, Michael chose a full-time real estate career with Ely Properties instead of following the trend of working with Dell.
While at Ely Properties, Michael achieved a very high level of success by selling closing over 200 transactions totaling $20+ million in real estate over 7 years. He also became an avid investor buying and selling seven investment properties during the 7 years.
In May of 2006 Michael partnered with Brian Copland to establish, Premier Realty, a new full service real estate brokerage. Michael’s business has grown to focus on working with Buyers and Sellers in the general Austin market. As a native Texan, Jolene loves living in the Austin area. She and her husband moved back to Austin from Utah, after spending more than 5 years here in the mid 1990’s. Austin is where she met her husband Ray, “a Dell Professional,” and where they decided to raise their 12 year old daughter, Mikail.
Jolene started her professional career in the legal industry. She spent the last 6 of her 15 years of her career working as a Principal Manager. Jolene flourished as an administrator utilizing her considerable talents of leadership, organization, accuracy, technology, and time management.
In 2002, Jolene made the switch to the Real Estate business. It didn’t take long for other Realtors and Real Estate organizations to learn that Jolene could teach them many valuable perspectives and processes to better manage their respective businesses. She was recruited by many agents, teams, and brokers to show them how to improve their businesses through automation, so they too could provide their clients with the best customer experience available.
Jolene has received numerous awards and nominations from her previous Real Estate board. She was nominated for “Realtor of Year” and received “An Every Day Hero” award for leading an effort to collect and deliver thousands of pounds of aid to the New Orleans area after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, she was nominated to serve on the Board of Directors in her region because of her various talents and reputation.
Jolene joined Premier Realty as an Office / Property Manager in June 2008. After one year, she became a managing partner at Premier Realty to focus on growing the business. Jolene also practices as a Licensed REALTOR focusing as a listing specialist in the Lake Travis and Lakeway areas. Along with her partners Brian Copland and Michael Said, Jolene shares a common goal in maintaining Premier Realty as Austin’s exemplary full service real estate company.
Jolene is a member of the Lakeway Rotary Club where she volunteers time for fundraising and events. Her free time is spent with her daughter, Mikail, husband, Ray, and their dog, Stolie. She enjoys weekend camping vacations and spending time on Lake Travis.[/box]
